Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra, widely known as the “He-Man” of Hindi cinema, passed away on Monday in Mumbai at the age of 89.
According to reports, he died at his residence after a prolonged battle with age-related health complications. Earlier this month, he had been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital where he had been treated for respiratory difficulties.
Dharmendra’s six-decade career included over 300 films, and he leaves behind an indelible legacy in Indian cinema. His roles ranged from action hero to romantic lead, and his influence extended to multiple generations of actors and fans.
