Karachi – Robbers kill ten people in the first month of 2024

In Karachi, a man died on Tuesday after being gravely injured during a robbery in the New Karachi Industrial Area. This brings the total number of robberies this month to 10. Meanwhile, three people, including a lady, were injured in separate shooting incidents in North Karachi, Paposh Nagar, and Sachal.

According to reports, a man was gravely hurt by suspected thieves as he attempted to fight a heist at an LPG gas cylinder business in Sector 11G of the New Karachi Industrial Area.

The victim, Taj Muhammad, 40, owned the shop and was present with his brother Subhan and an employee when two of the three thieves on motorcycles entered the premises. During the heist, Taj Muhammad, who carried a legal firearm, attempted to resist, and the thieves opened fire on him. He was struck in the neck and thigh. He was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in severe condition and died there. Police discovered two rounds of a 30-bore handgun at the murder site. Police detectives are attempting to get CCTV video from surrounding cameras.

at a separate incident, bullets critically injured a guy at Power House Chowrangi, North Karachi. The victim, Arsalan, 25, was transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical care. According to the rescuers, the event was caused by an unintentional firing of a handgun in a rental vehicle office. Police are conducting an investigation.

In a third incident, a 28-year-old lady named Iram was hurt in a shooting incident in Saadi Town near Malir Cantonment’s checkpoint No 5. Rescuers sent her to a private hospital near Safoora Chowrangi. Initial investigations by Sachal police indicate that the incident occurred during a quarrel. Police are obtaining further information.
