Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar, the caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Sindh, has inaugurated the e-Pay Sindh program, which includes digital payments, e-services, e-registration, e-mutation, e-pay, and the Industrial Estate Management System.
The chief minister introduced the service with the goal of making it easier, faster, and more convenient for citizens to access government services. Addressing the launching ceremony, Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar stated that the move is aimed at minimizing human interaction in order to ensure transparency, departmental accountability, and the resolution of all cases within seven working days as a step toward the transition from manual to e-governance in the form of e-Services Sindh and e-Pay Sindh.
He stated that the program includes a digital payment facility called e-Pay Sindh. This feature enables citizens to safely and conveniently pay for government services using their mobile devices, Easy Paisa, credit card, debit card, ATM machines, and banks.
Justice (retired) Maqbool Baqar inaugurated the service by pressing a computer key. The Chief Minister stated that this revolutionary project will change the way residents engage with the Sindh government.
The Sindh Cabinet has previously accepted the insertion of its legal framework into the Rules of Business as e-Services Sindh and e-Pay Sindh through a modification to Secretariat Instructions.
The e-Services Sindh App and other integrated digital components will give online access to a variety of services, including: – Domicile Certificates – Mutation of Record of Rights – e-Registration – Heirship Certificate Issuance – Agriculture Pass Book – Land Demarcation and Survey – NOC issuance for land sale – NOC issuance for industrial plots in SITE and Sindh Small Industries Corporation Estates – and other applications. In addition to these features, the app will allow citizens to file grievances with any revenue field office.
Earlier, on January 15, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi launched the e-services mobile application for the convenience of Lahore matriculation and intermediate students, allowing them to access results, certificate verification, and other papers online.
Mohsin Naqvi also announced the creation of a mobile app aimed at unifying all school boards on a one platform, and directed the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to assure its operation across all boards within a week. By inputting the board’s name, students can access the specialized services provided by their individual boards.
