KARACHI – While presiding over a meeting of the Mazar Committee, CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah directed the police and administration to make adequate arrangements for the security and traffic management of the public gathering scheduled for April 14 at Garhi Khuda Bux to commemorate the death anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Sharjeel Memon, Nasir Shah, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, and Chief Metrologist Sarfraz Khan all attended the meeting at the CM House. Minister Home Zia Lanjar, Minister Irrigation Jam Khan Shoro, Commissioner Larkana Mustafa Phul, and Khair Mohammad Shaikh of the PPP all joined the meeting via video link.
The Chief Minister asked Larkana’s administration to raise the number of walk-through gates at the Mazar from 40 to 56, ensuring easy access for the public attending the conference. He also underlined the importance of appropriate traffic planning to ensure a smooth flow of visitors to and from the event.
The CM was informed that separate access and exit points for parking had been provided around the Mazar area. Furthermore, Mr Shah directed the District Larkana administration to coordinate with HESCO to guarantee an uninterrupted power supply during the public meeting. In addition, standby generators must be installed to ensure backup power. The IG informed the CM of the security provisions and traffic control procedures in place.
